Yes, i'm glad i got it when i did. Originally that day i was just going to get a big 300mm telephoto zoom. Then i remembered seeing some great shots taken with 50mm lenses and asked what their price was. Turned out to be less than $100 (considerably less), so i got it on the spur of the moment.
Now i rarely ever use that 300mm and the 50mm is always on
yeah i know... it may been in plastic, but for studio and still life it quite do the job ( have to admit that i had some probleme wth the AF but hey... for the price )
