Slightly below-ground level car park in Adelaide. Some really nice textures around there. I'm going to have to go back there with the 40D, but the little Ixus doesn't do a bad job.

No idea. Maybe someone trying to climb up the wall or some old graffiti. It's only in this one area, which is open just out of frame, so it think it probably was someone doing a bit of Parkour or something :P

Don't trust the 40D's display. Its all full with fake colours and blown of contrast. But the metering is very accurate.

That's good to know, thanks. I've used Liveview a few times and thought "wow, that looks really good" then switched back to normal and it's not quite the same. I guess it's the extra contrast.

Actually I find the live view very useful! When I am getting to ground level photography, I don't need to lie down and get my shit dirty and sometimes, there are is fence you can see what is over there using the live view. The down side is that if you want to take a picture, you'll have to switch it back in order to focus. I also noticed that the live view cropping is the same as what is taken. The viewfinder only covers a certain percentage. It kind of pisses me off sometimes, but i guess they can't do any better with it.

Nah, the screen should never be trusted. Now when I shoot with my 40D I won't even take a look at the screen, because it's all fake and i know the original file will do fine.
