Elegant Brit skin for Launchyby ~lukeroberts

Customization / Skins & Themes / Application Launchers / Launchy

I started using Launchy on my Ubuntu desktop but couldn't find a skin that went well with Elegant Brit. So I went ahead and made one myself.

Some skins have problems with the Linux version of Launchy. If the mask.png, alpha.png and background.png aren't perfectly aligned with the input/output boxes the transparency is messed up. Took me a while to work out what was wrong. So this skin doesn't have any problems on Linux. (The skin works on Windows too, but i'm not sure if anyone has ported Elegant Brit to XP or Vista)

ZIP file includes version with shadow and one without shadow.

Installation
Unzip file and move the folders to /usr/share/launchy/skins

I loe this skin but there is only one problem with it. Whenever alternatives list opened it crashed Launchy. So I compared config files with fies form one of original skins and i found one difference.
Insted of "QLineEdit#alternatives" there was "QListWidget#alternatives" and I changed that in your skin and now it does not crash.

I just wanted to let you know.

Thanks for the tip! Glad to hear you got it fixed. I had a look at some of the original skins on my computer and they seem to have the "QListWidget" text.

What version of Launchy are you using? I'm using 2.1.2 and haven't had any crashes with it

I am using Launchy 2.1.2 and WinXP.
I was wrong about that QListWidget because I re-checked you skin again and it has line QListWidget in style.qcc. Dont know how I confused that.

But what I did to fix my problem was I actualy took style.qcc and misc.txt from oringinal skin and just changed positions, colors, fonts and it worked. So maybe that helped.
Wherever the bug was it is working now and I can send you fixed version if you would like.
